Hello! My name is Jami and I’m an introverted redheaded thirty-one-year-old. I live in sunny St. Petersburg Florida with my husband, two dogs, and cat. I’m a soon-to-be human mom, passionate creator, Harry Potter fan, dog mom, and someone who always wished they could get into the habit of drinking tea and doing yoga consistently.

I’ve never been one to see a single career path and know I would be set doing it for my entire life. I’ve always been “well-rounded”, as my father liked to call it. I was good at a lot of things, which is great, but also a bit distracting.

Over my thirty years I’ve spent time in a research lab working with invertebrate marine creatures, pursuing life as a full-time artist, working with shelter dogs and cats, teaching throwing clay classes, making lattes at a coffee shop, writing books, training dogs, and teaching English online. My life was never going to be like my mom’s who taught the same elementary class for almost 40 years. It was never going to be a one lane road. My life has been a rollercoaster with many paths, many turns, and even more weird little off-track dirt roads that I wandered down because they looked interesting.

This blog is a means for me to share the insight, adventures, stories, education, and creations I’ve found, and still am discovering, along the way. Every day I do my best to live a whole(some) life.
